Stone touched by the Grace of God

God, ubiquitous and Almighty, descend into stone. Revealing himself to the pious monk, or by inspiring the rich, He blesses and protects the things raise or done in His own name. Most of the churches carved in stone belong to Orthodox Church. The need and zeal of the founders have been obvious regardless of the times, or the place. With Grace of God, the work and money of the faithful.

In the 6th century an Assyrian monk lays the foundation of Georgian monastery David Gareja, 600 years later King Demeter I abdicates and retires there for recollection. In the year 992 believers gathered in Dobrogea, historical region of Romania will dig churches in Murfatlar’s Chalk Mountains. God bless these churches and reaveals them to us 1000 years later, to understand better.

Rupestral Churches from Basarabi, Romania

The ancient Ethiopians are building in the 12th century over 120 churches in the mountains at Lalibela and Tigray. In 90 of these churches God reveals to the ancestors of those people and today they come to experience faith over and over, for 700 years. In the same holy places as we see them, for us to understand better.

Rosslyn Chapel in Scotland was build by Sir William Sinclair, Knight Templar in 1446. For 600 years Chapel's basements are inaccessible and legends speculate about the Holy Grail and Knights Templar treasure, lying in there protected by God, underneath the old slabs. St. Demeter Basarbovo, originated in Bulgaria, 80 km from Bucharest, a city under his protection. Over 600 years earlier, Ioan Basarab, the first local ruler, was also reigining in Bulgaria and there he was to create the mountain monastery. Without knowing precisely the living years of this Saint, whose relics rest at the Romanian Patriarchal Cathedral, we learned many of his wonders, for the benefit of people from Bucharest. Saving Bucharest from Plague and Famine, chasing cholera and also cancer, this Saint called Dimitrie the New, with great grace of God rules even today through faith and spirit. For us to understand better.
